Global Voices Book Circle
This IRRC Book Circle explores the diverse stories of refugees and immigrants, highlighting both the small and significant acts of welcoming and generosity that transform lives and shape communities here and abroad. Through shared reading and open discussion, we aim to foster deeper empathy and understanding for those living in both arriving and receiving communities, and invite members to engage with narratives that challenge assumptions and inspire compassionate action.
Annual Summer Community Read
Each year, the Immigrant and Refugee Resource Collaborative (IRRC) selects a book and invites the community to join in reading it. Launched during World Refugee Awareness Week in June, this community-wide initiative encourages book clubs, families, summer camps, and neighbors to engage with the story.ā
Following a summer of reading, we organize a series of fall events that are designed to celebrate the book and its powerful message.ā
